Sabinus Blasts Lagos Agberos Over Street Harassment

Comedian Sabinus is fed up with the agbero menace plaguing Lagos.

Reposting footage from Onikan Stadium showing street touts in action, he voiced frustration about what he calls an agbero pandemic.

He knows raising the issue invites backlash online, but he did it anyway, bewildered that grown adults and family breadwinners are caught up in the hustle.

"If I dey talk about this agbero pandemic for Lagos, una go begin attack person," he said. "

Just look at grown men and people's breadwinners making a mess of themselves.

I don wash my hands for this matter."

The outburst comes as the broader issue of harassment and begging culture in Lagos keeps bubbling up.

Days earlier, a video went viral showing young men chasing Burna Boy's Bugatti outside a club at 6:30am, reigniting conversation about aggressive panhandling in the city.

The clip spread across social media and raised uncomfortable questions about desperation on Lagos streets.

Actress Sarah Martins recently vented about the flood of begging messages drowning her direct messages, warning people to stop.

Comedian I Go Save took a similar angle, pointing out how beggars in northern Nigeria ask politely with an open hand, while their Lagos counterparts resort to intimidation.

He called for government intervention, though he acknowledged the country is tough on everyone.

Still, he suggested Nigerians need to dial back the aggression as a coping mechanism, since hardship affects everyone struggling through the economy.
