According to a Punch Metro report, the late afternoon rain in Lagos on Monday saw motorists and other road users confront the daunting task of wading through the fierce flood.

In one photograph, a commercial tricycle and other vehicles literally swim through the flooded railway crossing area of PWD, Ikeja GRA in Lagos State.

Residents have cried out with displeasure at the development.
