Nguroje said the investigation so far reveals that the suspects have been committing the offence since December 2022.
Four cybercriminals have been arrrested in Adamawa by operatives of the Adamawa state police command.
The suspects use Computer network devices to defraud members of the public.
A statement released by the spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, gave the names of the suspects as Jamilu Abubakar 21years, Asab Vitalis 18years, Honest Zubairu 16years, and Paul Ladan Vanasha 17years, all residents of Shagari Phase 2, Yola South. The suspects are accused of hacking into people's accounts to transfer their money using advanced techniques and skills.
Nguroje said the investigation so far reveals that the suspects have been committing the offence since December 2022.
He added that as part of efforts to tackle Criminal activities and other related offences, the Commissioner of Police CP Afolabi Babatola is working in concert to deepen intelligence and strengthen security in the state. He directed that the suspects be arraigned in court upon completion of investigations and called on those falling victims to be watchful and report any suspicious person(s) to the nearest police Station.
