Governor Nasir Idris says more security is coming to Sakaba Local Government Area and the Zuru Emirate.

Recent attacks have forced many residents to leave their homes.

He made the promise while visiting displaced people in Sakaba.

He said the state will step up operations so they can go back home safely.

The state has ordered more security gear, including armoured vehicles.

The Zuru Barracks is also being upgraded to hold more soldiers and police, and it will get vehicles and other equipment.

Idris said the state will keep working with the federal and local governments to bring back peace.

He said that where federal help falls short, the state will step in so people can sleep peacefully and farmers can go back to their fields without fear.

He also promised more relief for the displaced families.

He asked residents to support the security agencies, stay law-abiding and avoid anything that could spread fear.

He also asked politicians not to turn the security problem into a political issue.

The Emir of Zuru, Sanusi Mikailu Sami, and Sakaba Local Government chairman, Dauda Muhammad Sakaba, both called for everyone to work together to restore peace.
