LeBron James opened his last NBA season on a sour note.
His 76ers lost 114 to 108 to the Brooklyn Nets in a pre-season game.
The 41-year-old joined Philadelphia in July and says this is his final contract in the league.
In the first half he scored 10 points, grabbed four rebounds and handed out five assists in 18 minutes.
Even after the loss, LeBron stayed positive.
He said the team still needs time to learn how to play together.
Tonight, he said, gave them something good to build on.
He is playing alongside Joel Embiid, VJ Edgecombe and Tyrese Maxey.
Jaylen Brown was the top scorer for the Nets with 18 points.
LeBron has won four MVP awards and three titles with different teams.
He is the league's all-time leading scorer and is now heading into his 24th season.
Philadelphia has not won a title in 43 years, and LeBron wants to help change that.
