DSP Bright Edafe, the spokesperson of the Delta State police command, has taken to social media to ask an important question after a 14-year-old armed robbery suspect, Gift Peace and two other teenagers were arrested with arms.
Edafe asked if the parents, society or school should be blamed for the youngsters committing such crimes at a tender age.
In a post shared on his X Handle, Edafe stated that the suspect when interrogated, said he started stealing since he turned seven.
He posted a photo of the suspect among other suspects and wrote;

A 14-year-old suspected armed robber Gift Peace 'm' has been arrested at Enerhen junction, Warri by operatives of "B" division Warri. He confessed that he has been in the business of armed robbery since he was seven years old. Arrested alongside him are two other suspects namely; Idigbe Osreis 'm' aged 19yrs and Idigbe Perfect 'm' aged 16yrs. Two locally made guns were recovered from them, Who do we blame, Parents, school, or society?''
