How A 56-Year-Old Man Was Nabbed For Attempting To R*pe 85-Year-Old Woman In Edo

Two suspects, Osawe Lucky (29) and Edema Aise (56) have been the police in Edo.

They were nabbed over alleged r*pe and attempted r*pe in Edo State.

City & Crime reports that while Osawe was arrested for allegedly r*ping 18-year- old girl in Ehor community, Edema was arrested over attempted r*pe of an 85-year-old woman at Uhronigbe community.

The state command’s spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, said the 18 years girl identified as Nosakhare reported the incident at the Ehor Division of the command.

He said the suspect, Lucky, lured the victim into the bush with the pretext to search for snails, adding that in the process the suspect attacked her and had s*x with her. 

He said the victim was taken to the Iruekpen General Hospital for a medical examination.

Speaking further, Chidi said the second suspect, Edema, attempted to r*pe the 85-year-old woman at Urhonigbe community.

He said the victim reported to the police that the suspect entered her room, removed his clothes and attempted to r*pe her, but was prevented by her neighbours, who came to her rescue while she was crying.

Chidi said the two suspects have confessed to the crimes and would soon be charged to court.
