Malam Umar Namadi, the Jigawa State Governor, has warned that his administration will not tolerate absenteeism and lateness to duty.
Namadi gave the warning when he paid unscheduled inspection visits to Kiyawa, Miga, Jahun and Kafin Hausa local government councils on Tuesday.
The governor, who was visibly annoyed for not meeting some chairmen on seat at some of the council secretariats, said his administration will not tolerate absenteeism.
Among the four local councils the governor visited, only the chairman of Jahun Local Government Area was found on seat.
“The affected chairmen would be given query to explain why they were not on the seat at the time of the visit,” the governor said.
Other places visited by the governor include boarding schools and health facilities.
