President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the Ezeife family, the people, and the government of Anambra State over the demise of Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife, CON, former governor of the state.
Ajuri Ngelale, Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
Daily Post reports that Ezeife, Okwadike of Igbo-Ukwu, governor of Anambra from 1992 to 1993, died on Thursday at age 85.
Reacting to his death, Tinubu extolled the towering influence of the former federal permanent secretary in Nigeria’s political landscape and leadership credentials, describing his passing as a painful loss.
The President recalled the contributions the late Chief Ezeife made in shaping public discourse and governance in Nigeria and laying the foundation for advancing his dear state.
While praying for the repose of the dearly departed soul, President Tinubu encouraged his loved ones to take solace in his indelible legacy.
