Nigeria's Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has been summoned by President Bola Tinubu.
He was invited to a meeting with Tinubu at the Presidential Villa amid the controversy surrounding the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and the allocation of a consultancy contract worth N438 million to New New Planet Projects Ltd.
Notably, the minister is identified as a beneficial owner of this company involved in the National Social Register contract.
Recall that Betta Edu was suspended by the presidency on Monday through a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
He said it was in line with Tinubu’s avowed commitment to uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability in the management of the commonwealth of Nigerians.
