Veteran singer and activist, Charles Oputa, aka Charly Boy has taken to Instagram to sl*tshame three female politicians being probed for alleged corruption.
He shared photos of former Humanitarian Minister Sadiya Umar-Farouk, suspended NSIPA coordinator Halima Shehu, and suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Betta Edu, all of whom have been accused of corruption.
Sadiya Umar-Farouk. the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development who served as minister under former President Muhammadu Buhari from August 2019 to May 29, 2023, is accused of N37.1 billion fraud. The sum was allegedly laundered under her watch through a contractor, James Okwete.
On her part, Halima Shehu was suspended as the chief executive officer and the national coordinator of the National Social Investment Programme Agency, NSIPA, by President Bola Tinubu. She was arrested in connection with an alleged ₦44billion money laundering.
Then, most recently, Betta Edu, who served as national women leader of All Progressive Congress, was suspended as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation after she allegedly diverted more than 585 million naira of public money into a personal bank account.
Reacting, Charley Boy shared all three women's photos and wrote:
