A man who is yet to be identified, has been found ‘strangled’ and thrown on a street in Kano, Daily Trust reports.
The man, was found at State Road just a few metres away from the state government house.
According to witnesses, the man was suspected to be strangled with a cable by unknown thugs and was struggling to be alive.
He was, however, rushed to the Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital (MAWTH) for urgent medical attention.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the state police command, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said the man was currently under the custody of the police and after scrutiny, has confessed to having tied the cable to his neck.
On his Facebook page, Kiyawa said, “After we took him to hospital, he spoke the truth. Nothing has been collected from him. In fact, he held the cable to himself and lay down there. He is now in custody of the police.”
