A video has captured the moment the father of a bride issued a stern warning to her husband never to raise his hands on his daughter.

The caring father took the opportunity during the traditional wedding to dish out some advice to the groom.

In his speech, he told him that he was only collecting his bride price for the formality not because he had sold his daughter to him.

He noted to the groom that he had never raised his hand to beat his daughter and wouldn’t tolerate hearing that he touched his daughter.
