Ride-Hailing App Driver Narrates How He Helped A White Woman Discover Her Boyfriend Is A Yahoo Boy

A Nigerian driver working for a ride-hailing app shares the tale of how he aided a white woman in realizing that her boyfriend is involved in internet fraud.

According to @Max_J619, he pushed to help the white woman after she offered him N50k to spill some secrets about Yahoo boys.

"So yesterday I got a request to pick up a white woman from the island to the mainland. Her Nigerian boyfriend, whom I was to take her to, did the booking. He called and said, "boss abeg, no follow her talk anything. She too dey ask questions and her mouth no dey stay on place".

"He further said: "Another thing be say, you go find way delay her, cos I tell her say I dey house and I no dey, so e no go make sense if you carry her come and I no dey house.". I asked, "Where you come dey baba?" He replied, "Omo, I dey Island o, just delay her, I go sort you out, bro.".

"Immediately after he said the "sort" word, I knew I had work to do (to save a brother). I finally picked the women up, and we zoomed off. I made sure not to engage her; just focus, drive, and mind my business. She was with a camera, so she kept snapping as we drove. Few minutes into the trip.

"She engaged me in formalities and asked a few questions about myself and Nigeria. She also talked about herself and her country. Well, these were friendly questions/conversations, so I answered cautiously. When she saw I took her bait, she went for the kill by saying, "I'm going to see my boyfriend, but he's been acting up strangely.".

""Each time I call, he's always home on his laptop, asked him so many times what he's into and keep getting the same answer: "Tech". "I'm confused, I feel he's jobless because the house he's living in, car he's driving and laptop, I got them all for him". "My money, my sweat".

""You're a Nigerian, so please could you tell me who and what a Yahoo boy is?" "Look, I'm going to give you extra money if you tell me, because I need to be sure I'm not wasting my time.". Naso she comot mint one thousand Naira bundle (50k). "It's all yours; just tell me, please."

"Without hiding my love for money, I told her what I knew about the Yahoo lifestyle and how she could tell if her man was into it. She was satisfied with everything I said. Meanwhile, the guy kept calling in between the trip, and I assured him not to worry that everything was under control.

"Her man was already in the house by the time we got to her destination. Love was in the air as they hugged, kissed, and laughed while the neighborhood watched in amazement. He paid me and topped it off with 500 Naira. I looked at him, all surprised, and he said, "Bros, I have your number, no worries."

“I smiled, bumped knuckles with him, and nodded. I was about to enter my car when the whitey halted me to wait as she gave me a parting hug. She called me this morning and told me I was right about everything, and she has ended her relationship with him. Not only was he a Yahoo boy, he was also cheating, according to her.”
