An aide to the Delta state governor, Ossai Success Ovie, has reacted to the guest list of the lead Pastor of Streams of Joy International, at his 42nd birthday celebration.
He expressed disappointment that the clergyman invited businessmen, E-Money and Obi Cubana.
Success questioned the pastor’s decision, citing the lifestyles of the invited guests as inconsistent with Christian values.
Success argued that Bishop David Oyedepo wouldn’t have invited them, implying that Pastor Jerry Eze’s actions compromised his faith.
He referenced 2 Corinthians 6:14, “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers,” suggesting the association was inappropriate.
Ossai Success felt the birthday celebration was a missed opportunity to encourage E-Money and Obi Cubana to commit to Jesus Christ, as neither gave their lives to Christ during the event.
