Tinuade Ladoja
Tito Idakula, the daughter of the former governor of Oyo State, Rasheed Ladoja, is bereaved over her mother's passing.
Tinuade Ladoja, one of the wives of the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, passed away at the age of 71 on Monday morning, October 14, after a brief illness.
Her daughter Tito, who is married to musician, Bez Idakula, took to the X platform to announce the sad news.
She stated that her late mom is at peace but she misses her dearly.
"My mum died this morning. I know everything I am feeling is valid but I am still trying to figure out the right way to "feel" even though I know there is no right way to "feel". My mum is at peace. She is resting with Jesus and I am truly happy for her but I will so miss her."
Earlier, she wrote on X: "I think the craziest thing about grief, is that life goes on. People are living their lives without any idea that someone, somewhere, is heartbroken. Life just keeps going and you almost want to yell at the world to STOP!"
Until her demise, Tinuade was an influential member of the Pastor-in-Council of the Celestial Church of Christ, the highest decision-making body of the church.
The CCC Ikeja Parish 1 Cathedral, the parish she attended, also confirmed her death in a post on its Facebook page.
In the Facebook post, the church wrote, "It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
“We submit to His will. #farewell.”
