Senate, AGF to Review Tax Reform Bills Today

 

The Nigerian Senate has announced it would review issues in the controversial Tax Reform Bill with the Attorney General of the Federation.

 

The agreement was reached after Deputy Senate President Senator Jibrin Barau suspended further actions on the tax reform bill on Wednesday.

 

However, Senator Barau revealed that the AGF would meet with the committee to ensure that all parties would be given the opportunity to vent their feelings, after which the meeting would arrive at a rational conclusion.

 

The review process will take place in Abuja on Thursday, December 5.

 

The chairman of the bill review committee, Senator Anna Moro alongside his team members are expected to meet with the AGF today.

 

They are expected to address the contentious issues associated with the tax reform bills, which have generated various concerns across the country.
