The All Progressives Congress has vowed to stop Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the next governorship election in Anambra state.
The frontline APC governorship aspirant for the Anambra 2025 election, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo made the remark while lamenting over the security situation in the state.
Speaking after submitting his nomination forms at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, Okonkwo criticized Soludo’s handling of Anambra’s security crisis, arguing that any attempt to grant him a second term would be an injustice to the victims of violence under his tenure.
“We have only gotten pain, sorrow, and agony from Governor Soludo instead of his promise to reproduce Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan in Anambra.
“Why did it take him this long to start addressing insecurity in the state? It is medicine after many deaths, and the spirit of those who lost their lives will not forgive us if we give Soludo a second-term ticket,” Okonkwo declared.
The APC aspirant further dismissed speculations of an agreement between Soludo and the presidency to deliver 25% of votes to President Bola Tinubu in 2027, insisting that the APC must take full control of Anambra rather than settle for a partial victory.
