A woman shared an observation she made during an interview that led her to reject a job seeker for the position of her driver.
She explained how the potential employee arrived for the interview and when she asked if he would like water, he responded with "of course"
All through the interview, she said she felt ill at ease but couldn't point to what was wrong.
However, towards the end of the interview, when she mentioned that she would get back to him after speaking with "oga", the driver's demeanour changed and he immediately sat up, showing the kind of formal attentiveness he didn't previously show to her.
She explained that the fact his demeanour changed and became more respectful when she mentioned an imaginary "oga" made her realise she could not work with him due to the "casual misogyny".
