Panic As Gunmen Abduct Woman In Kebbi, Demand N20 Million Ransom

Nafisa Usman, a married woman has been abducted by gunmen from her residence in Gayi village, Kalgo Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

Family members reported that the assailants stormed her home at about 2:00 a.m on Friday, forcefully breaking into her room and whisking her away without inflicting harm on other occupants.

According to the family, the kidnappers, suspected to be herdsmen, have demanded a ransom of N20 million for her release.

Reacting to the incident, the Chairman of Kalgo Local Government, Alhaji Yahya Kuka, strongly condemned the abduction and assured that all efforts are being made to ensure the victim’s safe and unharmed return.

Efforts to get a statement from the Kebbi State Police Public Relations Officer, Nafiu Abubakar, were unsuccessful, as he neither answered calls nor responded to text messages at the time of filing this report.
