Bride's Family Sends UK-Based Nigerian Man N21.57m Wedding Bills

A Twitter user expressed outrage over what he described as an exploitative demand placed on abroad based Nigerians.

A Nigerian man based in the United Kingdom has reportedly received a wedding expense list totalling ₦21,570,000.

The list was sent by his fiancée’s family in Nigeria

An X user @HOLARMEEDEY1, took to his page to share the list while condemning it.

Holarmeedey1 wrote: "You reach Uk e never reach 2yrs,

You are not from a rich family. And your potential wife is not from a rich family either.

You decided that you want to marry which is ok,

But e reach time for wedding your Inlaws are giving you quote that want to unalive you and you cannot refuse.

You ask them how much are they dropping, they say nothing.

Aside from the list they gave you, you will still buy her wedding dress and also buy the attire her parents will be wearing.

This is one of the reasons marriage don’t last.

After spending this ridiculous amount of money, what next??

If you strive hard to look for the money, her family will believe that you can always get more.

She herself who has never pay for anything in her life will come to uk to form odogwu’s wife.

If you ask her to pack shift so that you can settle some loans, it becomes a problem.

If God will catch you, she will belong to the group of “My money is my money, his money is our money”
