Lojay said while it’s normal to feel some type of way after losing out.
Nigerian music star Lojay has sent an important message to his colleagues.
He warned them against bashing award shows after not taking home a win.
Speaking on HipTV’s “Trending”, Lojay said while it’s normal to feel some type of way after losing out, artists need to remember that professionalism should always come first.
This comes shortly after the drama that followed the 17th Headies Awards, where a few stars didn’t exactly take their Ls quietly.
Reacting, Lojay said:
“Everybody can get emotional about stuff for particular reasons, and that’s okay. I just feel like at the end of the day, you’re meant to be a professional artist, so don’t let your emotions take control.”
“I don’t think it makes sense to start trashing an award show just because you did not win.”
