She wondered if the politicians are championing a platform to “rescue Nigerians from the APC” while their children remain firmly rooted in the ruling party.
Nollywood actress, Hilda Dokubo has called out former Senate President David Mark and ex-Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai, the key figures behind the new coalition party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
She wondered if the politicians are championing a platform to “rescue Nigerians from the APC” while their children remain firmly rooted in the ruling party.
Dokubo shared her thoughts online, posting photos of Mohammed Bello El-Rufai and Blessing Onyeche Onuh — members of the House of Representatives.
She wrote on X:
Bello El-Rufai is El Rufai’s son, and Blessing Onuh is David Mark’s daughter. Both are card-carrying members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the same party their fathers now publicly criticise and claim they want to rescue Nigeria from.
"Why and how?" Dokubo asked. “Please, are their fathers trying to rescue us from their children? 🤪 Haa, people, we need to start asking the right questions."
Her comments have struck a chord with many Nigerians, who are frustrated by what they perceive as political double standards, where the same families occupy powerful positions across different parties, thereby blurring the lines between genuine opposition.
