Femi Kuti emotional as his eldest son, Omorinmade aka Made performed for the very first time at the Shrine yesterday.
The legacy of Afrobeat legend, Femi Anikulapo-Kuti still lives on years after his death.
The torch, which has been carried quite successfully through the years by the legendary singer's sons - Femi and Seun - has added another torch bearer in the person of 18-years-old Omorinmade 'Made' Kuti, Fela's grandson.
Made is the product of the union between Femi and his divorced wife and close friend, Funke.
For the first time, Made, who went to study music and dance at the same institution his grandfather Fela Kuti attended - Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, performed at 'The Shrine', on Friday to the delight of his proud dad.
"Omorinmade my eldest son performing at the Shrine yesterday making me proudest", Femi Kuti wrote after the performance. "[He] made me proud and happy. [I am] thankful, grateful to the Creator".
