Coalition Members Are Angry With The Mess Tinubu Has Made – Atiku’s Aide Tackles APC Chieftain, Hassan

Posted by Thandiubani on Wed 06th Aug, 2025 - tori.ng

Hassan had during an interview on Channels Television on Tuesday, described the coalition as a weak alliance.

Paul Ibe, the Media Adviser to former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has lambasted an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Alwan Hassan.

This followed Hassan's attack at the opposition coalition formed on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Hassan had during an interview on Channels Television on Tuesday, described the coalition as a weak alliance driven by individual ambition rather than a united purpose.

He said, “The ADC is a coalition of angry people with a strategy. Everyone of them wants to be president. Asiwaju will be president.”

In response, Paul Ibe, in a post via 𝕏, fired back at Hassan, admitting that the coalition members are angry with the mess President Bola Tinubu has made of Nigeria.

Atiku’s aide also stated that there is nothing wrong with all members of the coalition wanting to be president, adding that the party’s delegates will determine the party’s presidential candidate at the appropriate time.

He said, “Yes, the ADC Coalition leaders are angry with the mess that Tinubu has made of Nigeria. They’re angry at how the material condition of the average citizen has deteriorated. They’re angry at how Nigerians have become poorer. They’re angry at the skyrocketing prices of food. They’re angry that even the minimum wage cannot not even buy a bag of rice because the Tinubu-led APC administration’s policies have snowballed inflation. They’re livid at the worsening insecurity that has left Nigerians at the mercy of terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and marauding blood thirsty killers. Their anger is in response to the collective anger of Nigerians who are desirous of a change.

“There’s nothing wrong in all of them wanting to be president. The delegates of the party will, at the appropriate time, determine who will be the presidential candidate. That is DEMOCRACY (as opposed to Tinubu’s DICTATORSHIP) at work.

“What is wrong is when you sign up to be president like Tinubu, and your era is marked by incompetence and cluelessness. That is a waste of opportunity.”
