Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and ADC presidential candidate, has given N25 million to three Bauchi State institutions to boost education and school building development.

Madarasatul Intisharul Islamiyya School in Yelwan Tudu, Bauchi, received a donation of N5 million, while Milikiya College of Nursing Sciences and Thomas Moore College of Health Technology both received N10 million.

Additionally, Amina Abubakar Ahmed, a student at the Islamiyya school, received a university scholarship in appreciation of her exceptional academic achievement.

Speaking during his visit to the Islamiyya school on Thursday, Obi praised the administration for making good use of a prior N5 million donation and expressed gratitude for the kind welcome.

"I am inspired by the way the prior assistance was utilized to supply necessary amenities like seats and additional educational resources. This degree of responsibility is admirable," Obi remarked.

He clarified that in addition to reestablishing contact with the school, his visit was intended to increase support by providing scholarships to worthy students.

"Every child should have the chance to develop, learn, and make a significant contribution to society," he continued.

He also expressed concern about insecurity, calling it a serious problem that has an impact on residents' wellbeing, especially that of children.

"Our kids need a secure environment in which to learn and dream. While announcing an additional N5 million donation to the school to assist scholarships and development programs, Obi said, "Their future should not be limited by fear but nurtured with purpose."

Adamu Umar Jibrin, the owner and head of the Islamiyya school, earlier commended Obi's ongoing assistance, pointing out that earlier contributions greatly enhanced the school's learning environment by providing furniture and instructional resources.

Additionally, he urged Obi to prioritize safety as part of his larger national program and demanded that insecurity receive more attention.

Obi praised the administration of Milikiya College of Nursing Sciences for making good use of the previous N10 million grant to modernize the school's ICT center.

In order to alleviate the scarcity of healthcare professionals, he emphasized the necessity for additional health training facilities throughout Nigeria.

Obi offered an additional N10 million grant to help impoverished students finish their training to become health professionals in order to further support this objective.

The college's provost thanked everyone for their support and promised to spend the money wisely and for the proper purpose.

Obi stated that his prior visit to Thomas Moore College of Health Technology was motivated by a desire to promote specialized education.

"Institutions like this are critical to achieving that goal, as we need more trained health workers across the country," he stated.

He also announced an extra N10 million grant to promote student scholarships and infrastructure development since he was impressed by the institution's growth.

Rev. Dr. Hillary Dachellem, the proprietor and bishop of the Bauchi Catholic Diocese, praised Obi's generosity in his remarks, pointing out that earlier efforts had greatly enhanced the college's academic and physical progress.

He promised that the university would continue to build on its recent advancements and that the new donation would be used appropriately.
