The founder of Eleganza Industrial City Limited and the Aare of Lagos, Razaq Okoya, has disclosed that lessons from his late father influenced his ascent to prosperity.

The millionaire entrepreneur claimed that his father, a tailor who also marketed tailoring supplies, exposed him to business at a young age in an interview that went viral on Wednesday.

Okoya claims that although though he went to school, his father did not let him devote much of his time to formal education because he was needed in the shop to learn trades and tailoring.

He claimed that he found his interest for business and fashion by selling buttons and other tailored goods.

"I decide what I want to be right from my youth," he declared. Dad works as a tailor, and he sells tailoring materials. I went to school, but my father didn’t allow me much, because I have to be in his shop, keep on doing tailoring, selling buttons and everything. “

Okoya stated that he had no regrets about the course he had chosen and that he had determined it early in life and followed it with determination.

"From there I get my fashion," he remarked. After that, I focused on what I wanted to do with my life, and I was rather successful. I don't regret anything. With my mother's help, I am incredibly grateful to him. Thus, these have been quite beneficial to me.

The businessman went on to say that a lot of today's youth would rather pursue their own convictions than heed parental guidance.

Some people are successful on their own, he continued, but it's difficult to start a business from scratch in the modern economy.

However, today's kids have their own opinions. They barely pay attention to you. It's not really working since they want to do it their own way. Some are employed, but not all of them aside from the majority of people with excellent childhood and industrial backgrounds have to follow in their parents' footsteps in order to develop.

However, it is difficult to be independent now and begin to advance in the economy, he stated.

Okoya revealed that some of his elder children had decided not to stay in the family company, even inside his own family.

"I also have a serious issue. Many of my senior girls and boys don't want to follow me because of this.
Despite this, he stated that manufacturing and industry continue to be his passions and emphasized that he wants his legacy to be linked to industrial advancement.

"I'm passionate about business." I want to be recognized as an industrialist. He continued, "I have to continue because I want to be acknowledged tomorrow and my legacy is industry.
