Temitope Osoba's family has rejected rumors about her death that have been making the rounds on social media and other websites, calling them untrue, speculative, and unapproved.

The family expressed sorrow at what they described as the dissemination of false information during a trying time for her loved ones in an official statement that was shared online.

The family asked the public to ignore the reports and not share anything that would exacerbate their pain.

The statement said, "On behalf of Temitope Osoba's family and loved ones, we are deeply saddened by the spread of false and unverified reports concerning the passing of our beloved."

The family emphasized that no official information had been made public and declared that the many rumors circulating regarding her death were "false, speculative, and entirely unauthorized."

The statement went on, "We respectfully ask the public to refrain from sharing or promoting misinformation that only adds to the pain our family is already enduring."

The family said they wanted time to grieve without the burden of rumors and dramatic stories, and they pleaded for solitude and understanding.

It gave the public and media assurances that whatever information the family decides to make public would be disseminated via authorized representatives and official channels.

The message went on, "We ask the public and members of the media to disregard all unverified reports and to rely solely on those official statements."

The family of Awonuga/Osoba thanked members of the public for their prayers, love and support, while appealing for respect for Temitope Osoba’s memory and the family’s privacy during the mourning period.
