Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC), is currently leading a protest in Abuja calling for President Bola Tinubu to step down.
In a video circulating from the rally, Sowore can be seen leading crowds through the streets of the nation's capital, chanting "Tinubu must go." Demonstrators alongside him held up signs featuring the president's picture stamped with the same message.
The demonstration comes while Sowore is facing legal trouble over his online comments.
The Department of State Services (DSS) charged him in federal court under the Cybercrimes Act for alleged cyberstalking and criminal defamation, following posts he made in August 2025 referring to President Tinubu as a "criminal."
