A notorious thief who specializes in stealing from shops was beaten to a pulp recently after he was caught in the act.

A notorious thief who specializes in carting away soft drinks has been beaten mercilessly after he was caught stealing from a shop in Lagos Island.

An eyewitness, Ajibade Hassan revealed that the alleged shoplifter, Lanre was caught at about 3:45am on Thursday, June 9.

Hassan wrote: “Caught another 1 this morning 9/6/2017 around 3:45 wee hours. He specializes in breaking shops stealing soft drinks and malt etc and mind you he has been an addict for more them 20 years his name is Lanre and we caught him around Obe street/Ali street Lagos Island Lagos state. He has been handed over to the police.”
