Former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, has fired hot shot at his successors after he alleged that the state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu is in bondage of Theodore Orji.

While speaking on Tuesday at the Umuahia Township Stadium during a mega rally organized to welcome defectors from other parties to the All Progressives Congress (APC), former Governor of Abia state, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, said Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is in bondage of the former governor, Theodore Orji.

Daily Sun, the influential politician and leader of APC in the state, pleaded with Theodore Orji to release Okezie Ikpeazu from bondage to enable him work for the people of Abia State.
He said when he was governor, Abia State University was getting subvention as well as Abia State Polytechnic, College of Education, Arochukwu and College of Health Technology, Aba.
“All those things have ceased because Governor Ikpeazu is in bondage of Theodore Orji”, Kalu said, and promised that when APC takes over the state, “we shall bring back free education which this government has scrapped.”
The former governor said democracy is about the people and not about an individual.
“I will put in everything I have to make sure APC takes over Abia State in 2019. I welcome all members of House of Assembly who have joined APC today.
"I assure you that nobody will touch you or look for a way to impeach you; if they do, they will see the federal might because the president does not support militancy.”
