Police Gassed Asthmatic Dino Melaye - Senator Ben Murray-Bruce Reveals After Hospital Visit

 

 

After his visit to the hospital, influential politician and Senator representing Bayelsa East, Ben Murray-Bruce, has on Monday said his hospitalized colleague, Dino Melaye was gassed by the policemen and he could barely breathe.

 

The outspoken Senator Melaye reportedly jumped out of a moving police vehicle on Tuesday afternoon while protesting police’s decision to move him to Lokoja, the capital of his home state, Kogi.

 

In a tweet, the senator said,"Just met with @dino_melaye. Very sad to hear what transpired. Dino is asthmatic, yet while in transit, the police gassed him & he could barely breathe. Second time they gassed him, he had to force his way out of the vehicle. Dino literally escaped death. SAD!"
