A Parcelforce delivery driver has resigned after he was caught performing a s*x act on a letterbox in broad daylight, Metro UK reports.

The man identified as David Camblin, 52, was caught after the owner of the house, which no-one lived in, became suspicious of why there was a ‘puddle’ in the hallway.

To find out what was going on, he set up CCTV to try to find out.

It captured Camblin driving up in an official company van before getting out and walking to the front door on August 9 last year.

He then could be seen removing his p*nis from his trousers, placing it in the letterbox and then went on to masturbate.

A few days later, on August 12, a similar incident occurred but this time Camblin noticed the camera, according to the Impartial Reporter.

Parcelforce is part of the Royal Mail Group.

Camblin, of Tandragee, County Armagh, admitted three counts of damaging a door and floor on dates between February 1 and August 12, 2016.

He admitted performing a sex act but denied ever urinating through the letterbox, the paper said.

He resigned from his job in October last year.

Appearing at Fermanagh Magistrates Court in Northern Ireland, Camblin expressed ‘enormous shame and regret’ about what happened.

He said it was ‘spontaneous’ and did not offer further explanation.

The judge said it was ‘simply inexplicable’ why he would have behaved in such a ‘bizarre and distasteful fashion’.

In mitigation, the court heard that Camblin, who has been married for 17 years, had been under stress at work.

The homeowner, who inherited the house from his late mother, was awarded £500 compensation.

Camblin was told to carry out 100 hours of community service.

A Parcelforce Worldwide spokesperson told Metro: ‘We can confirm that a Parcelforce driver based at our Portadown depot resigned last October following his arrest by police for criminal damage.’
