Fast rising music producer, Dope Beatz hits music fans with two new singles featuring some of the best up-coming hiphop music artistes in Lasgidi.
Born Asuquo Spencer in Lagos, his foray into music scene began in secondary school where he used to perform in many social events before nursing the dream of becoming a star rapper.
Being a rap artiste wasn't just fulfilling to Dopebeatz as he began to develop a new interest - making beats. After taking lessons in the basics, the rapper turned producer began creating beats from his room acquiring a keyboard, PC, microphone and basic music producing softwares.
Since beginning production in 2010, Dope Beatz boasts of making over a hundred beats and prides himself as a versatile producer. Unlike many other upcoming producers who are quick to align with trendy popular beats, Dope beatz explores all genres from Hiphop, RnB, Pop, techno, reggae to highlife.
The young producer, although still trying to get a breakthrough has resolved to shopping his beats online to foreign artiste, an idea which is beginning to pay off with few of his beats being bought and used by foreign acts, the most prominent being a white French rapper, Dshabba in the song, 'France Africa'.
The Lagos State University, Public Adminstration graduate runs his independent production outfit called Home made Music. Some of his influences include Dr Dre, Scott Storch, Sossick, Ryan Leslie and Dr Frabz.
In his recently released new singles, 'Love Me for Me' and 'Hustlers Anthem', Dope Beatz displays his versatility to adopt the latest of music producing softwares in collaboration with live instruments to make masterpieces.
