Donald Duke Reacts To His Party, SDP, Endorsing President Buhari

 

Donald Duke has reacted to the endorsement of All Progressive Congress Presidential candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari, by the leadership of his party, Social Democratic Party, SDP.

 

The party announced yesterday that it had endorsed the candidacy of President Buhari in the February 16th presidential election.

 

The party said it decided to endorse President Buhari due to its inability to conduct ‘a decent campaign’ as a result of the protracted legal battles between Duke and his contender, Professor Jerry Gana, over the presidential candidacy.

 

However, despite the party’s move, Duke insisted he is still the presidential candidate of the SDP and recognised by Independent National Election Commission, INEC.

Duke in a statement released last night, said he remains the presidential candidate of the party and that he is being fought by a presidential aspirant in the party who believes he is from the ''wrong part of Nigeria''.
