English football legend, David Beckham has been named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for 2015

The big announcement was made on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night. Beckham has no doubt been considered a sex symbol for over two decades but he is not so sure he's even deserving of the mantle.

 

"I never feel that I'm an attractive, sexy person," he admits to the magazine

He also added that, "I mean I like to wear nice clothes and nice suits and look and feel good, but I don't ever think of myself that way."

 

When asked if his wife,  Victoria thinks of him as sexy, he said: "I would hope that she feels this way about me all the time anyway!” he laughed. “But she said, ‘Congratulations!’"

 

"We kind of laughed about it with the boys and the boys kind of laughed at me and said, 'Really?! Sexiest man alive? Really?’” he revealed.
 

After Beckham was revealed to be the Sexiest Man Alive, he joked, “I would obviously like to thank my parents for bringing me into this world, of course. I would like to thank my hairdresser, my stylist.“

While speaking to the magazine about scoring its 30th anniversary Sexiest Man crown, Beckham said he was “very pleased to accept”
