Gwandu Mourns as District Head Muhammadu Rasheed Dies

Kebbi State Governor aides Ahmed Idris and Abdullahi Idris confirmed his death on Wednesday, stating that his funeral prayer was scheduled for 3:00 PM at the Palace of the Emir of Gwandu in Birnin Kebbi.

The late traditional ruler succeeded his father, the late Alhaji Muhammadu Bashar Mai-Wurno.

 

Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris who was in the United States attending the United Nations General Assembly alongside Vice President Kashim Shettima expressed deep shock over the loss, calling it a major blow to the state and its traditional institutions while praying for the deceased's family and the people of Gwandu.
