An Air India flight from Frankfurt to New Delhi was diverted to Jaipur on Wednesday after a security alert.
The flight is AI 2030.
Reports first linked the alert to a bomb threat, but an airport source told Hindustan Times it was a hijacking rumour, not a bomb threat.
The airport official said it was too early to comment officially and that an investigation is underway.
The plane landed safely and was moved to an isolation bay.
Security teams from the Central Industrial Security Force, local police and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad checked the aircraft and passengers' luggage.
All passengers and crew were taken off the plane and held in a designated area inside the terminal.
Neither Air India nor the Jaipur airport has issued an official statement yet.
The source of the alert has not been confirmed.
