John Boyega Drops Surprise Marriage and Baby News

Star Wars actor John Boyega has revealed that he secretly married his wife, Lashontae Heckard, and that the couple has welcomed their first child.

The 34 year old Londoner shared a video of himself holding the baby and said the little one arrived some time ago.

"Our bundle of joy has been with us for some time now but thank you for all the well wishes," he wrote.

He also asked fans to send good wishes to his sister, who is about to give birth.

Lashontae, 48, replied in the comments, "Love and blessings to my Blessing!!!!"

Fans recognised her from past acting roles and music videos.

Fast and Furious star Tyrese also congratulated the couple.

Boyega said in a recent interview that the couple chose a small wedding about two years ago because they preferred celebrating something already built rather than the start of a marriage.

He said they plan a much bigger celebration later.

Both of Boyega's parents are Nigerian, and he often talks about his pride in his heritage.

At the time of that interview, he had revealed that Lashontae was pregnant.

Lashontae already has a son, Brandon Jennings Jr, from her relationship with former NBA player Brandon Jennings.
