Pastor Amaechi
A Nigerian pastor has revealed that the only thing that can save Nigeria from war is prayer. He said Christians should forget about plan B and put more effort in prayer.
The Presiding Pastor of Rhema Deliverance Church, Awka, Anambra State capital, Dr Amaechi Nwachukwu, said this during his Sunday service.
He said leaving Nigeria as an alternative plan to safety would not stop violence in Nigeria.
The cleric, who spoke during Sunday service, said there are obvious signs that some people in the country are planning to plunge Nigeria into war.
“God has shown me signs, but the solution is prayers. I am not against any plan ‘B’. After all, a pastor said we should think of a plan ‘B’, but I want to tell you that if as Christians we pray, every impending war will scatter,” he said.
“I know a lot of people who have told me they are making plans to leave Nigeria. I thought of that plan ‘B’ myself and wanted to start making arrangements, but after a second thought, I told myself that we have no other country than Nigeria. We must save her through prayers.
“God is about to do something in Nigeria. God said he is looking for a man to stand in the gap for others. As a church, if we decide to pray, God will hear. I’m urging you all to go to God in prayers. The signs are obvious, but because God has revealed it, he is ready to stop it if we pray.”
Nwachukwu admonished Christians to stop criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari, but to pray for him, and that God should open his eyes to see how fast the country is sliding downwards, and also give him the ability to provide solutions to the country’s myriads of problems.
“Let me tell you, it is not easy to be a leader, not to talk of a country like Nigeria. We have to pray for our leaders, instead of criticizing them,” he said.
