Pastor Praises Naira Marley’s Songs During Sermon

Popular Nigerian muscian, Naira Marley has received commendation from a man of God.
 
Prophet Gabriel Evans who is the leader of the Majesty Evangelical Ministry openly professed his admiration for the music superstar during a recent sermon.
 
The pastor said although Naira Marley is seen with cannabis, some of his tracks convey deep messages.
 
The cleric spoke at a sermon wherein he referred to the artiste’s song entitled Aye (the Yoruba word for Life), released in 2020.
 
“That boy only smokes weed, he’s in his right senses. Naira Marley, his head is intact”, Evans said.
 
The cleric then sang the chorus of Aye which has more than 5 milllion views on YouTube.
 
“Aye yi o le (Life is not hard), Aye lo m’aye le (The people of the world makes life hard), Ninu aye lo ti di f’aye (Inside life makes it hard for life), Aye yi o le (Life is not hard).
 
“Eyin le ma sin iya yin (You all will be bury your mother). Or you don’t want to bury your mother?”, Evans asked the congregation.
 
Naira Marley has a huge influence among the youths who adopt his mode of dressing, dance and slangs.
 
The hitmaker is facing trial before Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos.
 
The ‘Soapy’ crooner was arraigned in 2019 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on an 11-count charge of credit card fraud.
 
The EFCC called two witnesses, Nuru Buhari Dalhatu and Augustine Anosike, both forensic experts.
 
The detectives told the court of how Naira Marley often visited sites where stolen credit cards were sold to interested fraudsters.
 
They further revealed that “shocking evidence” recovered from the defendant’s mobile device.
 
Naira Marley pleaded “not guilty” to all the charges preferred against him and maintains innocence.
