The trio were arrested on October 27and 28, 2021 around the Kajola Area of Osogbo after a report by one of their victim on October 27.
The information made available by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Osun Command, Yemisi Opalola indicates that the victim, a female, had tipped the police that one Ismaila Raheem aka ‘Agogo’ and three others had attacked her at home with a prefabricated pistol.
Opalola revealed that during the attack, Ismaila Raheem and his gang had unlawful carnal knowledge of their female victim and also robbed her of a Huawei smartphone valued at N17,000.
She added that the suspects will soon be charged to court for possible prosecution as soon as the investigation was completed.
However, the suspect, Ismaila Raheem on fielding questions from journalists explained that he is a herb seller who has been giving cash gifts to the victim who he considered as his girlfriend.
Raheem explained that when he approached her for sexual favours, she had denied him, saying he was not in her class.
He said it was he and Akintola Sangokunle, another criminal who raped the victim outside her house but that he later went to apologise to her because he realised that what he did was wrong.
He claimed that he took his friends along to the victim’s house claiming that she was his girlfriend.
