Prime Minister of Morocco has waded into the controversy surrounding J-Lo's performance in the North African country last month, calling for an investigation of the concert promoters and TV stations that aired the show on public TV.
The dust raised by American singer, Jennifer Lopez's performance in Morocco penultimate weekend is yet to settle as the country's Prime Minister has waded into the controversy.
J-Lo, as she is called by fans, was accused of 'disturbing public order and tarnishing women's honour and respect' following her 'ass-shaking' performance on stage in the largely Islamic country on May 29th. The event was broadcast on public TV.
Reacting to the debacle, Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane has ordered an investigation into the TV broadcast of the concert saying that airing it in the first place was "serious delinquency", "disgraceful" and too "sexually suggestive" for public view.
He also noted that it was in violation of the country's audiovisual law and wants the concert promoters and TV stations that aired it to be investigated.
