The former chairman of the Labour Party in Lagos State, Kayode Salako has opened up on why Labour Party lost Lagos governorship election.
According to him, the Labour Party Governorship candidate for Lagos state, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, became arrogant and too full of himself after Peter Obi won in the state during the February 25 presidential election.
The Former chairman of the Labour Party made this announcement known to the public during an interview with the News Central TV, where he said that after Peter obi had won Lagos state, Rhodes-Vivour began to believe that he would be the next governor of Lagos State and this made him publicly endorse candidates from the opposition party.
According to Kayode Salako, he said, “When Peter Obi won in Lagos State during the Saturday 25th presidential polls, all of us were involved. It was a game of all of us because everybody was involved. But after the victory of the party at the presidential election, pride came to Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, and he started seeing himself as the governor of Lagos State when the election wasn't even conducted yet."
