Many have taken to social media to express their anger over the hike in the price of foodstuff.

In videos that have now gone viral online, Canadian men and women claimed the spike in the cost of living is due to the influx of immigrant in the country.

In one of the videos, a Canadian woman is seen weeping as she lamented that she works too hard yet her salary cannot give her a decent living.
 
Another woman complained about the cost of food items.
