Fisher cooked continuously for 119 hours 57 minutes, surpassing the previous record of 93 hours 11 minutes set by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci earlier this year.
Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Bassey has broken her silence after her world record was broken by an Irish chef based in Japan, Alan Fisher.
The chef broke two Guinness World Records for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
Alan Fisher is an Irish restaurant owner and chef based in Japan.
He broke the record on Monday.
Fisher cooked continuously for 119 hours 57 minutes, surpassing the previous record of 93 hours 11 minutes set by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci earlier this year.
He also broke the record for the longest baking marathon, baking for 47 hours and 21 minutes, beating the prior record of 31 hours and 16 minutes.
Reacting, Hilda Baci, on her X page, congratulated him.
She wrote, ”Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119hrs 57mins is a huge achievement, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder.”
