It Will Send A Clear Message - Shehu Sani Applauds NLC And TUC On Planned Strike

Former Kaduna lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has applauded the planned strike action by the organized labour over the assault on Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress.

The NLC and the Trade Union of Nigeria, TUC, declared a nationwide strike to protest the brutalization of the NLC president by suspected political thugs in Owerri, Imo State.

Reacting, in a post on X, Shehu Sani, wrote: “No responsible trade union will fold its arms and see its leaders brutalised without a massive response''.

“The strike action will send a clear message to those who want to toe this path. Using political thugs to disrupt protests and maltreat protesters is unacceptable; Abuja EndSARS organisers can remember how they were attacked at CBN Headquarters.”
