Aloy Ejimakor, the Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has said the supreme court judgement on Friday was partly disappointing and satisfactory.

While reacting to the Supreme Court’s judgment, In an interview with journalists, Ejimakor held that the invasion of his house, revocation of his bail and rendition were all unlawful.

The Supreme Court turned down an appeal to release the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, from detention.

He noted that Kanu’s counsel would apply for the Certified True copy of the judgment.

“The ruling today was in part disappointing and in part satisfactory.

“A lot of people might say it is ambitious, so I am going to speak briefly so that I don’t preempt what will come out from the registry of the Court. We will apply for the Certified True Copies of the Judgement.

“The Court held that the invasion of his house, revocation of his bail, and rendition were all unlawful.

“The Court has remitted the case to the Federal High Court to deal with it in line with the rulings it made”, he said.

DAILY POST recalls that in June 2021, Kanu was rearrested by the Department of State Security; since then, several courts, including the Court of Appeal, have ordered his release.
