Police Arrest Nigerien For Stealing Cables On Third Mainland Bridge

A 24-year-old suspected cable thief has been arrested by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) on routine patrol of Third Mainland Bridge.

During the arrest, four bounded strands of cables were retrieved from him.

The suspect, Seidu Ali, was arrested around 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.
 
RRS in a statement on Thursday, said the arrest of the suspect was the second in three weeks.
 
He had earlier been arrested and reprimanded for attempting to steal cable on Third Mainland Bridge.
 
The Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi has directed that he be charged to court immediately.
