Veteran singer and activist, Charles Oputa aka Charly Boy has taken a swipe at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over the arrest and continued detainment of crossdresser, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky.
In a post shared on his X handle, CharlyBoy asked the commission to go and find “better things to do” and leave Bobrisky alone as he isn't the problem of Nigeria.
Recall that Bobrisky was arrested on April 3 and arraigned in court last Friday, April 5 for abuse of the Naira. After pleading guilty to the offence, the court ordered that he be remanded in EFCC detention till April 9 for judgment. However, the Eid-Fitri holiday has now moved the date for the judgment.
He stated that their job is to retrieve stolen funds from criminal politicians and not use influencers to distract the focus of Nigerians.
